Market Outlook: Will we go into a bear market because... Russia? 21 Mar 2022, 7:30pm-9:00pm SG/Perth

Hi gang, the markets are at a critical technical level this week. It seems apt to have a market outlook next week.

There will be a 30 minute presentation giving the market outlook, and then a Q&A, free and easy discussion.

The Topics include:

1) 3 possible scenarios for the S&P500.

2) Our likely probabilities.

3) Data leaning towards certain probabilities.

4) How to position?

5) Some defensive value stock to add to a portfolio.

There will be some macro-economics, intermarket analysis and technical analysis (including an Elliott Wave count). Here's one of the slides:

We have a special guest, Joshua Tan, who is the ex-Head of Research, Phillip Securities. He is an economist by training and experienced stock picker.

For those who have no time to come to our live Zoom meeting, we estimate recession probabilities (with deep correction) to about 35% based on current data.

60% of no recession or moderate correction: 20% chance of recovering from now and 45% chance of recovering after a further correction of 8%-12%.

However, this week the markets should us tell where it wants to go as it sits on strong support. How the market reacts to this support will give more clarity on the probabilities.

Here are the Zoom meeting details:
